About
I grew up between Austin, TX and Toronto, Canada, and attended Waldorf school before my family set off worldschooling — right now that means Kunming, in China's Yunnan province.
I'm a videographer, photographer, and writer — I make travel and worldschooling videos for YouTube, take photos wherever I land, and write essays on WordPress. I'm also currently working on my first book.
On the professional side, I'm working toward my TEFL certification so I can teach English formally. I've already got hands-on experience: I tutor English one-on-one, I've volunteered as a teacher's assistant helping Chinese kids build speaking confidence, and I've worked as a summer camp counsellor back in Toronto.
I speak English natively, get by in French and Urdu, and I'm at an intermediate level in Chinese — useful for both daily life here and for classroom management when I'm teaching.
When I'm not filming, shooting, writing, or teaching, I'm probably figuring out where the next chapter of worldschooling takes us.
